Zillow Mortgage Marketplace reports Alabama mortgage rates for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages increased 7 basis points from 4.89% to 4.96% on Wednesday. State mortgage rates ranged from the lowest rate of 4.63% (ID) to the highest rate of 5.13% (NV). Currently, Alabama mortgage rates are 20 basis points higher than the national average of 4.76%.

The Alabama mortgage rate on March 17, 2010, is up 12 basis points from last week's average Alabama rate of 4.84%.
